Do you ever have extra buttermilk, half & half, or cream in your fridge? Well, if you have some sitting in the back of your fridge, just about to expire, put it in zip top bags and freeze it! This is a great way to avoid throwing food out and also to save you money.
Here's how I do this: I label the bag with the name of the item, the date, and the amount of the item I measured. Then I measure the liquid into half or one cup portions. Then I pour it into a zip top bag, lay flat, and put in the freezer. After they're frozen, you can stack them back to back to make more room in your freezer.
Today I'm trying this with the juice of limes. I had a ton in my fridge that were going bad, so I squeezed them all and divided them into half cup portions.
I hope this helps you save some money. Do you have any items you freeze to save money?

I got one of these amazing Instant Pot Pressure Cookers for Christmas, and I love it! It can cook last minute meals in minutes, and it's a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, saute pan, yogurt maker, steamer, and warmer all in one. If you're worried about how to use it, there are a TON of websites and Facebook pages with recipe ideas.
Go HERE to get this for just $129 shipped. This is the best price you'll find on this size pot.
